Pinnacle TV For Mac Hybrid Stick full review
The Pinnacle TV For Mac Hybrid Stick is a USB 2.0 stick designed for Apple Mac PCs that includes both digital and analogue TV tuners.
If you’re using your TV tuner with a desktop Mac system then you can just pick either an analogue or digital tuner (depending on the reception in your area), then plug it into your Mac and forget all about it.
However, if you’re travelling with a portable MacBook or MacBook Pro, you could easily find yourself having to cope with varying levels of reception as you move from place to place (we still can’t get decent digital reception in our offices in central London).
One option is to buy a 'hybrid' TV tuner such as Pinnacle’s TV For Mac Hybrid Stick, which has both digital and analogue tuners built into it.
The Pinnacle TV For Mac Hybrid Stick is a little pricey, but you do get the twin tuners, as well as a remote control and a handy little adaptor that also allows it to play and record video from devices such as a VCR or camcorder.
The Pinnacle TV For Mac Hybrid Stick package includes Elgato’s EyeTV Lite TV viewing and recording software, and is available in black or white.
And with the Pinnacle TV For Mac Hybrid Stick, you can make your Apple Mac a digital terrestrial TV wherever you go. Just remember, if you don't already have one you'll need a TV licence before you use the Pinnacle TV For Mac Hybrid Stick.
