Mesh Elite Inspire PCA full review
On paper, the Mesh Elite Inspire PCA is compelling: its 500GB hard drive is considerably larger than any other in this price category, and it comes with a 22in display. The latter is almost unheard of at this price point, and the monitor is often the first sacrifice to push prices down.
Unfortunately, the Mesh Elite Inspire PCA’s gaming performance is pitiful. Its ATI Radeon HD 3450 graphics card simply isn’t up to the task of playing even older titles such as Fear, and it struggles to achieve more than 10fps.
Worse still, the Mesh Elite Inspire PCA lacks general office performance. Despite having Intel’s blisteringly fast E8500 chip under the hood, it managed a rather mediocre score of 118 points in our WorldBench 6 speed test. This desktop PC is a clear 10 points behind the Best Buy Chillblast Fusion Flame. This level of performance may be more than adequate for you, but this computer should be considerably faster.
A compact case leaves little room for expansion but is adequate for a budget system. There’s room for an additional optical drive and it’s nice to see a memory-card reader installed, bringing the Mesh Elite Inspire PCA's total number of front-facing USB ports to three.
The budget motherboard is also a little low on expansion ports and comes with only two memory slots, both of which are already filled by the Mesh Elite Inspire PCA’s 4GB allocation of RAM.
