The silvery-grey iLap laptop stand was specifically designed to match the look of the Apple MacBook Pro and old PowerBooks – although there’s no reason why you can’t use it with any portable PC.
There are several models designed for different sizes of laptops. It has a versatile design, which means you can use it in a variety of locations. When it’s placed on a desk the gentle angle of the stand allows you to type on the laptop’s keyboard quite easily, so there’s no need to buy a separate keyboard and mouse.
There’s also a detachable padded cushion that can be used to balance the stand on your lap if you’re relaxing on the sofa. The only disadvantage is that it doesn’t raise the screen very high. So if you’re looking for a stand that lifts the laptop right up off the surface of the desk to minimise neck and shoulder strain, look elsewhere.
SHOULD I BUY ILAP?
With a versatile design, the iLap sits comfortably on your lap or a desktop, but it's not cheap.
