While the price may seem slightly steep, Disney promises to donate all profits from masks sales – with up to €560,000/£500,000 to Red Cross organizations in Europe.
Disney is also donating 100,000 cloth masks to families and children who are particularly affected by the crisis, via its charity partners MediCinema UK, Children in Hospital Ireland and many others. You can read more about Disney's Covid-19 relief efforts on its blog.
Disney's cloth face masks feature characters from a variety of its popular franchises including Marvel, Pixar, Star Wars, its classic Disney princesses, and of course, the cartoon Mouse himself.
The non-medical masks will be available in the UK, Ireland, France, Italy, Spain and Germany.
The launch comes as parents might start looking for child-friendly kids masks ahead of the back to school season.
The masks are available in small, medium, large and extra large sizes. Disney recommends following its sizing chart before you buy as the masks are non-returnable (goes without saying).
