As well as access to the Android Market and hundreds of apps with which to customise the tablet, Samsung includes its TouchWiz interface (an import from its Galaxy smartphones), Google Video Talk and Samsung Social Hub for direct access to Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn.
PC World’s Tottenham Court Road store in London will be selling the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 from 5pm on Wednesday 3 August. The tablet officially goes onsale in the UK the next day. DSG, which owns Currys and PC World, will be the exclusive launch partners for the £399 Wi-Fi version of the tablet. The 3G version will be available through mobile operators.

Last year Samsung launched a 7in-screen Galaxy Tab Android tablet that went on to be one of the biggest sellers of the year.
