The 16GB model was originally £79.99 but is now £44.99, while the 32GB option is now £64.99, slashed from £99.99. The £35 discount means you can pick up 32GB of storage at £15 lower than what you would pay for the 16GB option.

We should note that at the time of writing the 32GB models have already sold out on Amazon and Currys, but you can still pick it up from Argos at the discounted rate.

Amazon delivery times have taken a hit amidst the Covid-19 pandemic, as the company prioritizes the delivery of essential goods to those most affected. Some products, even those ordered via its express delivery service Prime, are seeing longer delivery waits up to late April. Despite this you can still get the Fire HD 8 16GB by the weekend if you order today (30 March), according to the estimated delivery time listed on Amazon.

Amazon, Argos and Currys all have the option for minimal contact delivery where the item can be left on the door step or in a safe place. See the list of all stores still open for home delivery in the UK.
