Nokia says the Lumia 920 has apps that will work in offline mode, including Nokia Maps that don't require connectivity. Windows Phone 8 brings new features to the Lumia including a new customisable home screen, those improved maps, voice control and support for high definition screens. The Nokia Lumia 920 includes 32GB of onboard storage, and uses an S4 Snapdragon processor. It retains a similar polycarbonate design to previous PureView phones such as the Nokia 808 PureView review. Intriguingly the Lumia 920 includes wireless charging capability.

The Nokia Lumia 920 PureView, announced today at Nokia World 2012, will be available in a variety of colours, including red, grey and yellow.

Nokia describes the Lumia 920's display as 'PureMotion HD+', saying it is better than HD. According to Nokia you should be able to use the Lumia 920's screen outside in natural light. According to Nokia the high definition curved glass screen adjusts its brightness and colour according to the light level when you're in natural light.

That Lumia 920 is powered by Nokia's biggest ever battery, a 2000mAh cell that is only marginally less capacious when compared to the Galaxy S III's 2100mAh battery.
