Further suggestion that the phone won’t be called the S10 Lite is fuelled by the inclusion of triple cameras, therefore besting the existing S10e. It’d be quite the busy S10 line up, and this phone might end up being a Galaxy A series. The central camera has already been seen on the Galaxy A51.
But Samsung isn’t afraid to add new models to its range, and sometimes sells certain models in select regions to best serve the market. The phone will have a central camera cut out which, along with the vertical cameras, might end up acting as a design bridge between the S10 and S20, taking up the central camera of the Note 10.
Most people won’t care about that if the price is right, though. With an under display fingerprint sensor and triple cameras, the S10 Lite may forgo things like wireless charging but could end up being an excellent deal.
Samsung is widely expected to announce the Note 10 Lite at the same time, which would be even more unexpected. Samsung made a regular and Plus sized Note for the first time in 2019, but to release a cheaper S-Pen Note phone would be unprecedented.
We’ll be at CES to see if the announcement is made there. Otherwise, are we looking at the S20 Lite here after all? The S20 range is expected to debut in March, shortly after MWC.
