Update: the Quest is now out of stock directly from Oculus Store, but you can find the 64GB option from Argos.

If you look elsewhere, the Quest is sold out at Currys, John Lewis, GAME and Amazon, and is available in limited stock only at Argos, which also has the Rift S in limited stock. Most of those retailers are carrying the cheaper Oculus Go, however.

While the Quest might be pricey, you do get the benefit of super high-end tracking without being tethered to a PC (though you can connect to one if you want).

In fact this is what makes the Quest particularly impressive: you don't need separate trackers or a gaming PC to power it – unlike the Oculus Rift S – but Quest still delivers PC-tier VR titles and true 1:1 6DOF tracking.

6DOF, or 6 degrees of freedom, allows the device to precisely track both the movement of your head and your position in your environment in real time, allowing a seamless VR interaction. All you need for the Quest to run are the included Touch Controllers and the Oculus set up app.
