Red Dead Redemption 2 is available now. If you want to start playing it immediately, you'll want to download the game from the PlayStation Store or Xbox's Microsoft Store.
The downside is that these downloads tend to be the most expensive way to get your hands on the game and without a physical copy you won't be able to trade it in at GAME or CeX stores once you've finished playing it.
From the PlayStation Store the game is £59.99 (click here), and it's the same price from the Microsoft store (click here). The Special Edition and Ultimate Edition are also available here and are available at the same price as physical editions, but you'll miss out on the printed map as you're opting for a digital download (we talk more about this below).
Red Dead Redemption 2: Standard game
Most places are currently offering Red Dead Redemption for around £49.99 for PS4 or Xbox One, so if you can pick it up cheaper than this you’ve found yourself a good deal.
You’ll find it available from the online retailers listed below:
Red Dead Redemption 2: Special Edition
The special edition, available for £74.99 for Xbox One or PS4, includes a special edition printed map as well as exclusive Story Mode content that you’ll miss out on with the standard game.
Red Dead Redemption 2: Ultimate Edition
Taking that one step further, the Ultimate Edition, which is more expensive at £89.99, comes with everything you get with the Special Edition plus a collectable steelbook and additional online bonuses.
Red Dead Redemption 2: Collector’s Box
A fourth option is the Collector’s Box, which includes a metal tithing box with a lock and key, containing a collectable challenge coin, double-sided puzzle, six-shooter bandana, a treasure map, a pin set, a replica of the Wheeler, Rawson and Co. Catalogue and 12 cigarette cards. With the game prices are around £140.
Red Dead Redemption 2: Console bundles
If you’ve yet to get a PS4 to play the game on, Bundles include the £349.99 PS4 Pro 1TB bundle and £249.99 500GB PS4 bundle, available to buy from GAME.
