Cheers, coronavirus.

The pandemic-minded move means you can all tune into the latest episode of your favourite true crime podcast at the same time and hit the group chat with the OMGs and GIFs from horror films.

A host must create the session from the Connect menu in the Spotify app, though the feature is still in beta at the moment so might take a while to roll out to your profile. From there, any member can control the playback and skip tracks.

Spotify said it was still working to evolve the feature. We hope the app grows to become more socially minded, as until now aside from shared playlists the platform has been very focused on solo use.
