Black Mirror fans were devastated when the series was taken off Channel 4 and moved over to subscription service Netflix for season 3, but while the show's quality has wobbled a little since the move it's still capable of the same mind-bending sci-fi spectacle.

With season 5 not out of the way, will Charlie Brooker's dystopian creation return for a 6th? Here's everything we know so far.

When is Black Mirror back on?

Black Mirror season 5 is out on Netflix right now, bringing three episodes, after the one-off interactive episode Bandersnatch dropped in December 2018.

What we don't know yet is if there'll be a season 6, though we certainly hope so - Netflix hasn't confirmed any plans for more Black Mirror just yet. It likely will, but don't expect to see anything before late 2020 at the earliest.

How many episodes will there be?

Again, with no official announcement from Netflix we don't know yet. While the fourth season had six episodes, the fifth dropped to just three - supplemented by the interactive Bandersnatch. We're not sure if the next lot of Black Mirror will have three, six, or something else altogether, or indeed whether we'll see another interactive special.

Who's in the cast?

The show always attracts a star-studded cast - with the likes of Miley Cyrus, Andrew Scott, and Topher Grace in the most recent set of episodes - so we expect the same for any sixth season. There's no official word on who might be involved though, so it's all speculation right now.

How to watch Black Mirror

Black Mirror is exclusive to Netflix, and is released as an entire season rather than a staggered release. That means you'll be able to binge-watch the show, so long as you can stomach it.

Netflix offers a free one-month trial, which means that if you get the timing right you can watch the entirety of Black Mirror so far for free if you're new to Netflix.

Otherwise, Netflix costs from just £5.99/$7.99 per month, and currently offers not only the seasons it produced but also the first two seasons, originally aired on Channel 4.

You can also pick up the Channel 4 episodes, season 3, and season 4 on DVD or Blu-ray if you want a physical copy you can hang onto.
