If you've had your eye on the ultra-slim Apple MacBook Air or its imitators, PC World's brand-new Advent Verona 13.3in-screen ultraportable laptop is bound to pique your interest.
Costing a very reasonable £349, it uses a 1.2GHz Intel Celeron 743 processor and runs Windows 7 Home Premium. You get a 250GB hard disk, 4GB of DDR2 RAM and built-in Wi-Fi. While not the highest specification around, the Verona is better equipped than a netbook and at 1.6kg is much easier to lug around than the average laptop.
Product manager Jeremy Fennell adds: “The Verona laptop doesn’t just look good but with its extended battery life it’s perfect to use on the move, ideal for business users, students and anyone who is looking for fantastic value, with great spec and usability”.
The Verona uses an ultrra-low voltage processor to ensure a long-lasting battery and comes in a choice of three colours. It's available from PC World, Currys and Dixons.
