Buffalo Technology has unveiled the Link Station Duo - a two-drive NAS (network-attached storage) drive.

The Link Station Duo is available in a choice of 1 terabyte, 2TB or 4TB of storage capacities and allows users to place the two swappable drives in either standard, RAID 0 or RADI 1 configurations.

The LinkStation Duo can also stream multimedia to PCs and media players such as Buffalo's LinkTheater and other DLNA/UPnP-certified devices, while the WebAccess feature allows movies, documents and photos to be shared over the internet.

The device connects to your home network and benefits from Memeo AutoBackup Software for Windows or Macintosh that schedule backups to a USB storage device or another Buffalo Network Attached Storage device.

Paul Hudson, northern European sales director, Buffalo Technology, said: "With more high-definition and higher resolution content available than ever before, the LinkStation Duo is the ideal solution for home and small business users looking to store and share their digital files from one central location".

"With an enhanced performance speed of up to 40MB per second, and attractive features such as quick swappable drives and easy setup, the LinkStation Duo is bound to suit the digital lifestyle of any home or small office."

The Buffalo LinkStation Duo is priced from £209.99 inc VAT and will be available from online retailers including Amazon and Dabs from mid-november.
