Xiaomi, one of the largest smartphone brands in China, is said to be bringing its products to the UK this month.

In-store staff at an Essex branch of UK mobile operator 3 have told one Tech Advisor reader that Xiaomi phones are likely to be in stock both online and in-store by the end of September 2018.

We already knew that 3 would be stocking the phones "soon" according to a Tweet posted back in May, but the exact date has remained unknown.

However, when we reached out to 3 for comment it told us: “We have had huge interest Xiaomi since we announced the partnership back in May. We are currently in discussions with them concerning our launch and you can expect the products to be in store towards the end of this year.”

We expect that the Mi A2 and Mi A2 Lite will be among the first products available in the UK, given that they run Android One rather than MIUI, but we're also hopeful for a Mi Mix 3 launch on 19 September.

In the meantime, here's how to buy Xiaomi phones in the UK.
