Sony Ericsson this week revealed two new phones exclusively on its Facebook page - the Sony Ericsson Mix Walkman and the Sony Ericsson txt pro.

Following a worldwide competition open only to fans of Sony Ericsson's Facebook Page (there are nearly 5 million of them) the two touchscreen phones were unveiled. The Sony Ericsson Mix Walkman is aimed at music fans, and the txt pro social networkers (it has a slide-out qwerty keyboard).

The Sony Ericsson Mix Walkman comes with what the company calls a Zappin key. You press the Zappin key to preview the chorus of the next track and decide whether it is a favourite you want to listen to. Frustrated X-Factor contestents will be pleased to know there is a  karaoke function, too (their fellow rail passengers, less so). Different exchangeable colour bands allow users to change the look and feel of their phone.
As well as its full slide-out qwerty keyboard, the Sony Ericsson txt pro combines a 3in touchscreen with a 3.2 megapixel camera and integrated Facebook and Twitter feeds.
The Sony Ericsson Mix Walkman and the Sony Ericsson txt pro will be available globally in selected markets in the third quarter of this year.

Commenting on the launch, Quentin Cordier from Sony Ericsson said: "We wanted to take advantage of our extensive Facebook fan base when announcing these phones, bringing the fans closer to both our products and brand. We are really pleased that consumers liked them for their music and social media functionality and expect them to become great additions to our overall portfolio of entertaining phones."
