Lewis Hamilton may have claimed his fifth world title already, but the 2018 F1 season isn't over yet. This weekend sees the closing race of the season in Abu Dhabi at the Yas Marina circuit.
When is the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix on?
- Sunday 25 November, 13.10 race start (UK time).
This weekend's race is live on Sky. But you'll need to be a subscriber (or buy a Now TV day pass) to watch it. This is a race will also be shown live on Channel 4.
To watch live, the race starts at 13.10 in the UK, Sunday 25 November.
Qualifying starts at 1pm on Saturday 24 November (UK time).
And if you're unable to get to a TV or record it, the race will subsequently be available to watch via the All4, Now TV and Sky Go apps. The same is true of qualifying.
How do I watch F1 online?
In the UK you can watch using these apps:
- All 4, available for Android and iOS
- Sky Go for Android or iOS (requires Sky subscription)
- Now TV, for Android and iOS, Xbox One and PC (requires subscription)
Formula 1 itself offers a subscription to watch every race live. It's called F1 TV Pro, but it isn't available in the UK. In the US it's $11.99 per month or $99.99 per year. All you can get in GB is a catch-up service for £19.99 per year, or £2.29 per month.
Sky is showing all races live during the 2018 season, with Channel 4 offering highlights later on after the race ends for those that are exclusive to Sky.
To watch races on Sky you need the appropriate Sky Sports package, and access to a mobile device for the Sky Go app. Alternatively, you can watch it on Sky's Now TV service on a pay-per-view basis.
Sky will be broadcasting practice, qualifying and races in Ultra HD and also offering certain elements in VR via the Sky VR app. You can find out more on Sky’s website.
It's unclear whether UK fans will be able to subscribe to the forthcoming official F1 online portal because this may conflict with Sky's deal. Fortunately, although it looked like Sky would have all F1 races exclusively in the UK for 2019, Sky and Channel 4 have done a deal which will give fans similar coverage - a mix of highlights and full live races - as this season.
Which F1 races will be on Channel 4 in 2018?

For those who want to watch the Sky coverage but don't want a satellite dish or those pricey subscriptions, the alternative is Now TV. This is also a Sky product, but it doesn't tie you in. You can pay daily, weekly or monthly, but unless you get a deal, the standard prices of £7.98, £12.98 and £33.98 are very expensive.
If you prefer not to use the All 4 app, you can try TVCatchup. This lets you watch live free-to-air UK television on your computer, phone, tablet or games console. Versions of the site optimised for iPad and iPhone are available at ipad.tvcatchup.com and iphone.tvcatchup.com, and there's also a TVCatchup app available in the Apple Appstore and Google Play Store.
Head to TVCatchup.com and go to the TV Guide. Choose the correct channel for the particular session (either quali or the race) you want to watch live online. You can also change the stream quality, which is useful if you don't have a particularly fast broadband connection.
You'll have to watch an advert to start with, but then it will stream the channel. If you're using a desktop browser you can use TVCatchup's new Desktop Player to watch and record live TV.
