Great British Bake Off 2016 start date: When is GBBO Series 8 on air?

There's no official launch date for Great British Bake Off 2017 but it has been confirmed that Series 8 will arrive this year. This is because the BBC has agreed to waive its right to force Channel 4 to hold off until 2018, at the earliest.

Whether Love Productions and Channel 4 can get it ready in time for the usual August air date remains to be seen. We'll keep you up to date when we hear more details.
