How to watch online for free

It all begins with the opening ceremony which starts at 10am BST in the UK. Then you can watch all the sport over the following days. Due to the time difference, most coverage starts at 11pm BST.

It's easy to watch a live stream online for free if you live in the UK because the BBC is hosting coverage.

You can watch on the BBC Sport website and app as well the BBC iPlayer with coverage on BBC One. There's also the option to listen on Radio 5 live and follow text updates online.

If you want to use these BBC services outside the UK you'll need a VPN to do so. Check out our guide to the best VPNs so you can browse and stream like you're in the UK.

A particularly good option is Nord VPN, which you can look at here.
