Wins 10 image disc back up disc.

Hi Can I create wins 10 back up disc on a usb stick with files on it already or do I need a clean/new one with no files on? Was going to use DVD discs but apparently it needs up to 69g which is a lot of discs. Thanks

What exactly are you backing up?

A system backup takes up a lot less space.

If your backing up your data from the User folders then more is required.

Personally I don't trust windows back ups - as system restore, reset keeping data, reset not keeping data, and system back up all let me down after the Anniversary update last year. Only a system image created using Macrium reflect saved the day.

You would be better saving back ups of any description to a external drive.

Just creating a wins 10 disc from the new computer so I can reistall if needs be. Came with wins 8.1 but I upgraded to 10 with free licence which came with comp. I discovered the licence was valid until Nov/17. Was surprised as I know the free update to 10 had passed it's sale by date on web.
