At the moment I have 3 PC's- One a fast up to date Desktop; an old laptop, and a new laptop. All are using Windows 10. All have "updates" running automatically and are showing them as up to date. However the Desktop is on Windows 10 version 1709 - Os build 16299.309, whereas the two laptops are on the same except they are on Os version 16299.334. I could download the latest version from the MS store, but why has the desktop not updated as the others have automatically?
Are they all the same versions of Windows JB, maybe pro version and home versions may get different update.Or at different times. Only guessing though.
I am sure my computer came with W8 pro on it and some where along the line it has changed to Home version. Must have downloaded the wrong upgrade at one time or another. i have the 334 version but I am almost sure that I got it through automatic updates and not doing it manually.
Like they say any update you should get them today. probably afternoon as they still use the 2nd Tuesday of the month for for major updates.
All are home edition Windows 10; There has been much hoo ha about the "Spring update" or Redstone 4 being released today; just wondered where it is! I am content to wait till tomorrow rather than forcing it. Two of my PC's are quite modern and well specified, so it should come along when it is officially released. I read of some issues with v 334 so maybe the new version will incorporate corrections.
