Windows Live Mail Won't Start

  jimforrest 11:11 13 Jul 2014

A problem with either AVG or Rapport caused my Samsung Laptop running Win7 to slow right down (see other thread), but I have now found that Windows Live Mail won't start up. On clicking the icon I get a message box stating 'Windows Live Mail could not be started. It may not be installed correctly. Make sure that your disk is not full or that you are not out of memory (0x80041161)' It worked just fine before the recent problem. My problem now is salvaging all my emails and the Contacts list.

Should I just re-install it from the Windows Live webpage?

MS has repair tool called wlarp.exe in the C:\Program Files (x86)\Windows Live\Installer (64-bit) or C:\Program Files\Windows Live\Installer (32-bit) folder.

Run it from the command line
