Windows credential log in password

Hi all. I see lots of posts about this issue on line but I can't find the simple answer I'm looking for as a new person to this issue. To start with my setup is win10 with dlink 320 NAS connected via a switch. I had the Nas mapped as a drive. Today the connection just dropped out and prompts me for my windows credentials for dlink Nas So here's my simple question. What password is windows asking me for? Is it my windows log in or my Nas log in that I have to input. Either way I have tried every password configuration I have had for the last 20 years. I am at my wits end now. Please any help would be appreciated.

This is probably well above my paygrade but:

When looking at my NAS Drive: If I left click ~ It asks for a Password. If I right Click, I get straight into its Files and Folders
