Windows 10 slow boot up !!

Hi all experiencing very slow boot on win 10 around 5 min to boot.Have disabled all non essential programs from starting on boot uninstalled and reinstalled graphic driver re suggestion found on Google regarding on board and dedicated graphics but still very slow

Spec I5 4690K @ 3.5ghz processor 16gig DDR3 Ram GTX 770 graphics o/c'd 750watt psu and win 10 home. Any suggestions greatly appreciated

Have you had a look in Event viewer to see if that shows the start up problem.

And have you run the likes of Malwarebytes just to make sure it is not a virus.

Also maybe run disk clean up to get rid of any old updates etc.

Bad driver could do that but you would have noticed when you were in Device manager. Take it you still have plenty room on the hard drive.

You could try running it in safe mode at start up to see if it starts ok that way.

Devil Fish, firstly, make sure that "fast startup" is turned on. Secondly, there's no need to play guessing games just yet because Windows may have identified and logged the culprit that's slowing the boot process. Have a read here. It works for Windows 10 too.

Hi all was graphic driver issue. Disabled HD graphics in bios reinstalled Nvidia drivers and it seems to be ok .Guilty as charged not following the kiss rule (keep it simple stupid) Thank you all for your suggestions
