What a/v software works with Vista?

  dth 11:42 24 Oct 2006

Does any of the A/V software packages work well with Vista? Or is it too early to tell yet?

I tried the new version of AVG and after a few false starts it seemed to install OK.

I've temporarily abandon AVG (and AdAware) for Microsoft's One-Care. It runs AV, AS, defrag, tune-up and backup.

Vista version 1.5 is beta for 180 days. It's here if anyone is interested click here

I should have said abandoned not abandon.

RC2 disables Defender but in RC1 you have to remove it via the msconfig start-up tab.

Also, the defrag feature has a progress bar.

the only decent A/V i have found with vista rc2 is AVAST HOME a free software.

agree with sunny staines. Avast home edition 4.7.892 works perfect with RC2.
