Vista Ultimate RC1 worked fine on my old PC. Bit slow in places but ok on the whole.

what are the specifications of the two systems?

I have had vista running on a sempron 3000+ with just 512Mb ram and 64Mb shhared graphics.

If it will work on PaulB2005's P3. It should run on yours.
