transfer operating system

Hi I have windows xp installed on my laptop but I do not have the disk asit came pre installed. I have windows 7 evaluation os on my pc with no other operating system. Is there a way I can transfer my windows xp from my laptop onto my pc?
any advice would be great thanks

If it came pre-installed then it is almost certainly an O.E.M. copy and even if you could get it to work on your desktop you almost certainly would not be able to register it. Microsoft will identify it as what it is and tell you that your copy is illegal. If you search the web I am certain that you will be able to source a new copy fairly cheaply.

MS only licences their software for one PC at a time.(OS that is. Outlook 2007 is ok for 3 PC's)
