Talktalk - now can't get AOL pages

Hi, I am a windows Vista, 1E7 user and have recently switched from Tiscali to Talktalk to save money. But I'm having problems now getting their version of the AOL webpages. And I keep getting message boxes before the window opens telling me that I have both safe and unsafe items - mixed content - on the following pages. Do I want to view pages with HTTPS and HTTP content. My friend who uses a different ISP to Talktalk can access AOL with no problem at all, and with no mention of mixed content. In fact when AOL loads, the address is simply "click here" or "click here" depending on which site she visits. We have compared security settings, run sfc /scannow scans, checked advanced Internet options, checked scritp settings etc etc etc. I have also tried removing Norton Security and phishing filters. There is no error message when I type in the AOL url, only a blank page with "Done" bottom left taskbar.

Please help.

sorry but ignore the "click here"; the important bit I typed in there was http and not https each time
