Storing passwords for regular sites

  Keith100 18:49 26 Dec 2013

I'm not sure what I have altered but my computer won't save any user names / passwords. Even though it asks me if I want it to remember them & I click on yes it never does. Would appreciate any help. Thanks. Keith.

What browser?

Internet Explorer

You've set it to delete browsing history on exit which is fair enough? Go to tools, internet options and under the general tab, browsing history section, select the delete tab. In the window that opens tick the box for 'Preserve Favourite websites data'.

Thank you Rdave for your advice. I have now done that. Thanks again. Keith.

Thanks Jock, I have done that as well now. Keith.

Think very carefully before you allow a browser to store usernames/passwords. It's a relatively easy job for a malicious person to get hold of the information when it's stored that way.
