Recently I upgraded (If that is the correct term) to Windows 10. When I sign in, my sign in name does not appear first, but "HomeGroup User $" Not sure if the last symbol is correct I think it as 2 strike though lines but looks looks something like. Can I get rid of this safely and if so how ?.

hi tony , daves answer will work cos I done it , after typing netplwiz just follow the prompts , you will however still get the annoying message bottom right to say your Microsoft account needs attention , just ignore it.

This is what it says in User Accounts under users. I have also un ticked “Users must enter a username and password to use this computer”. But it still asked for one. href here
