recovery disk for Windows 7

The latest edition of PC Advisor gives a quick method of creating a bootable recovery disk for Windows 7 when the original W7 disk is not available.
I can't get this to work!
The programme tells me that the files needed are not on my hard disk and it prompts me to insert the W7 original disk.
My laptop is a brand new HP Probook 4710s with Windows 7 preinstalled and no OS disk.
Does anyone know how I can make a suitable recovery disk under these conditions?
