RAW image files and Windows 7

My Vista PC would display my camera RAW files in Explorer. Windows 7 does not display the image. I have Adobe Photoshop which does of course BUT it was very useful to do a quick first edit ( delete ! ) of unsuitable images with explorer. Win 7 tells me which types can be displayed but I cannot add RAW files. Exploere even saw Meta data and could tag.

Hope someone can help.

Do you mean thumbnails? I have PS CS4 and use Bridge to look through and delete files etc. I have not looked at RAW in W7 but will do so.

Just checked. .psd and .raw thumbnails do not show in Windows Explorer, but the files are listed with a PS icon.

Thanks John. I have Bridge which I use but it is so much faster to open Explorer for a quick look and to empty my camera card to the hard drive "digital negs" folder. Just wondered why Win 7 is worse for this than Vista.

You need to install DPMagic. Just search in Google
