Problems after downloading music software

  davecooper 09:31 30 Dec 2015

Yesterday I tried downloading and installing some software that came with a MIDI keyboard. It seemed to download ok but did not install properly. I then started to get error messages from Norton giving an error code and saying it was looking for a fix. It then said it could not find a fix. I then tried to delete the downloaded file as it had not installed. It would not allow me to do this saying the file was open in Norton Internet Security. I then tried to open Norton but it was totally unresponsive. I then tried to uninstall Norton but it would not let me do that either. In addition, my internet has now become unresposive. Any suggestions appreciated. Machine is a PC running Windows 10.1. Thanks.

System restore to before you downloaded music software.

After a system restore, turn Norton off when installing or using any music software the program may see the software as a virus,I had the same problem few years ago my Anti virus package thought my Korg software was a virus
