Problem with WMP streaming

I've seen a few posts about issues like this on the site but no solution to my specific problem. I've just subscribed to an broadband streaming service for sports matches (Setanta broadband USA). When I go to the game page I can hear sound but the screen is black. The FAQs suggest I update/reinstall Windows Media Player but, as the number of questions regarding that topic on these forums will attest, that is easier said than done. Any suggestions?

Install a codec pack such as k-lite

Thanks, I've just tried downloading the codecs but still no luck.

I got a response out of the setanta tech team suggesting I might need to adjust the hardware acceleration setting for my graphics card (ATI Radeon X1200), but when I went into the dialogue box to do this, the option was greyed out and there was a message saying my driver display wouldn't allow me to change that setting. Is that an avenue worth pursuing?
