Office genuine advantage

Windows update has downloaded Office genuine Advantage tool, I don't want this as I remember the problems with Windows XP and this genuine advantage. I am ignoring it at the moment but it sits there in system tray and won't go away. How can i banish this update, I have unticked it but it reticks itself and still waits to be installed.Anyone know what to do?

Hi jimv7, as I haven't installed it how will system restore fix this? won't it just come back with windows update where it came from?

Yes it will come back so all you do is right click on the update and choose to hide it.

It wont install or update it again

Thanks mfletch, I have done as you say and it has gone from the system tray.

Thanks again
