NVIDIA Drivers stopped responding

I have recently upgraded from XP to Win 7 and since then the screen goes blank a then recovers and I get the message. "Display Driver Stopped Responding and has Recovered". Display driver NVIDIA Windows Kernal Mode Driver, version 307.83 stopped responding and has successfully recovered. I have checked the drivers for the graphics card and they are up to date. Does this mean my graphics card is on it's last legs?

You will not know untill the graphics card fails.

You could try an earlier graphics card driver. Sometime the latest drivers do not always work especially if its an older card. Remember to uninstall the latest drivers before installing an earlier version.

I had to sort out this problem for a client a while back . Download a fresh set of the correct drivers , but don't install them yet , uninstall the old drivers from Programs and Features , reboot the pc , then install the new ones , that should sort the problem .
