Hi, if you use your old computer hard drive (windows XP) as an external hard drive and plug it into another computer, does a folder called 'NTFS' show up when you look through the files? If so, what usually is in it?

There is not a Folder called NTFS on mine. I do have some system files 'ntfs.sys' (my old XP drive still has XP and programs on it)

Isn't NFTS the American DVD system as opposed to the European/UK PAL system?

If there's nothing in the file just right click and delete it, open it first though just to make sure it's empty.

Careful in deleting, sometimes content can be 'hidden' and doesn't show up unless you have selected 'show hidden files, folders and drives' in Folder Options.

Will be the partition containing the C:\ drive with XP on it. Showing as an NTFS folder. Open it up and check the folders inside. You should find your old data files on it to retrieve.
