no longer able to log into my laptop

I have a Sony Vaio laptop and recently, it updated to Windows 10.

When I switch on my laptop, I have a completely plain home screen, with simply the date + time, and no other options buttons.

I have no username or password, and typically, to log into my laptop, I press enter and it will sign me in, but now when I do the same thing, it comes up with 'Your computer is running low on resources, so no new users can sign in. Please use an account that has already been signed in.' I am the only user of my laptop, and no other users use my laptop. The screen with this message is also plain, with no other options buttons

How can I fix my laptop, and get back into my laptop?

Remove all power leads and battery press and hold power button for thirty seconds.

Wait a further 30 seconds refit power lead but not battery and power back on

what happens then?
