So you all know that on your way to your desktop your see a Microsoft wallpaper/background that you can put an extra password into unless you did netplwiz to bypass the password.

One background that really caught my eye is a picture of series of railway bridge arches. But try as I might I just cant find it to download it .

Answers on a postcard please.

Open an Explorer window Click View to show the View tab Tick the box, Hidden items Go to C:\Users \YourName \AppData \Local\Packages \Microsoft.Windows.ContentDeliveryManager_cw5n1h2txyewy \LocalState \Assets

you will see a collection of files with random numbers and letters. These are the lock screen images. Select Details for the View on Explorer’s View ribbon

Hi FruitBat

I've just opened the folder your instructions have led me to. How can I view each file, please? They're all named using (random) numbers but don't seem to have a file extension, nor type, listed. On double-clicking one of these files (to open it) I get the window asking what program I want to open it with - don't know what to select ...

Ahh ... Have answered my own question, unless there is an easier way but am continuing this in case MrGrumpy gains benefit ;)

I've just copied one of the files into a new folder in my personal section, ie in Pictures

I then added '.jpg' as file extension - and it opened in photo viewer

Many thanks for your response to MrGrumpy - I was wanting this same info just recently ;) Thanks MrGrumpy for posting to ask this question :)
