My Desktop PC updated this morning and, although my headphones work very well with Skype, when I try to watch any saved video my sound has gone. I am using typically Windows Media Player, but I have also tried with a few others, all of which were working only yesterday.
After doing a bit of browsing I discovered that I needed to recheck all my various sound drivers and, lo and behold, found one which the update had not corrected. Downloaded the latest driver and all is now well.
