Links toolbar in IE7 - Vista misbehaving

  estabond 06:40 28 Jun 2008

Have just acquired a new laptop with Vista Home Premium and Internet Explorer 7 pre-installed.
This was posted in Helproom with no responses, so can Vista afficionados help, please?

In Internet Explorer,I can see toolbars for Menu, Status and Google but have to right-click blank area to tick 'Links' for them to appear.

However on closing and re-opening the 'Links' bar disappears (as does the tick).
Have tried both unlocked and locked.
Also amending the order of items in links is lost on closing and re-opening

I do not wish to edit the registry as I fear mucking things up.

click here suggests that maybe if you have the Google toobar or yahoo toolbar installed it can hijack Links.

If not try some of these other solutions click here=

Thanks to chub_tor I can now say "problem solved"
Google toolbar downloaded again and all seems OK
