im typing this on my brand new laptop with vista.

there is nothing wrong with it. so wat if the UAC asks u to confirm something. i takes to seconds to click it again.

use the free norton uac utilitiy makes using uac a lot easier see brundles post.

I use the Norton UAC that sunnystaines mentions.

I've used it for around 5-6 weeks without any problems, its an extremely useful program and well worth the download if UAC is bugging you, personally UAC never bothered me, but I do find the Norton UAC extremely useful. Its basically what the UAC should have been like.

I agree. I've never had a problem with the UAC - just click it to accept - but I reckon most of the Anti Vista hate mail is because of it, maybe the fact that sometimes the screen goes black and it's a second before the UAC box comes up then you have to click it. Oh, the hardship. . . .

Open up your browser, Tools, Internet Options, Click on Never Dial a Connection, OK, Close
