Internet Explorer problem

  Satmansq 19:58 02 Aug 2008

Toshiba Satellite L350D-12M with Vista Home Premium SP1, AMD Athlon 64 Dual Core Processor TK-57, 2GB ram, ATI Radeon X1250.

I can surf the internet fine for a random period of time, but suddenly for no apparent reason IE7 will appear to take its time to load a page, however it never manages to load that page.

Similar problems with IE8 and Firefox, restarting Laptop repairs the problem for a while. Whilst the restart is generally reasonably fast, there are timees when the close down also slows down. at these times there does not appear to be any memory intensive programs running.

My thanks, in advance, of any advice offered

Avast Antivirus, Zonealarm Firewall.

Also using CCleaner to clean up caches etc and as a registry cleaner, and Lavasoft Ad Aware to clean spyware

Could be a slowing of your broadband. Check with; click here , good as any, especially when your browser seems slow.

Thanks for the suggestion, Laptop connected via wireless to Sky Netgear router, but have 2 Desktops connected via cable, neither of which suffer similar problems.

Tried using Ccleaner to clear caches and temporary files when IE slowed down to no avail
