HP Photosmart All in One - can Print but not Scan

  Guady 12:21 27 Dec 2015

I've recently bought a new HP Laptop with Windows 10. When I started it up, I connected the Wireless HP Photosmart B110 All in One Printer. My problem is that I can print, but the laptop doesn't find the Scanner part of the Combined Printer & Scanner. It's especially annoying, as both machines are made by HP! Their Help section has not been of any help to me, unfortunately. Does anyone have any ideas for what I can do? Please don't be "too technical" - I'm not an expert! Thank you.

Have you tried print and scan doctor ?

Is there a scan icon with a red x in the notification area?

Have a look in devices and printers to check if it's online.

I found this problem on 1 of 3 computers when using the desktop program and never found a solution. The only workaround was to download the HP Scan and Capture app, you could also download the HP All-in-one Printer Remote.

Thanks - I've got it working now. I used the HP Print and Scan Doctor which downloaded some additional software. It also gave me the HP Solution Centre, which I thought wasn't available on Win10. So all good now - thanks again.
