Hard Drive Space-Vista Premium

This is very puzzling. My C Drive has 2 partitons, one of 8GB for recovery data and the other of 225GB for everything else. Windows reports that there is 156GB free. Simple maths would suggest that there is 69GB used. Well, with folders set to show hidden files all I can find is a total of 35.8 GB.

That leaves 33.2GB unaccounted for.

WHAT is this all about??

Can anyone shed some light on this please???

" WHAT is this all about?? "

System restore takes a maximum 12% of hard drive space. 12% of 225Gb is 27Gb.

Reduce the size system restore uses.

Cheers, Did that and got back 27 GB exactly. You are my hero...BUT...why would system restore use up that much space when my entire system isn't much larger than 27GB?

Cheers again.
