Hard drive as RAM?

I read somewhere that, under Vista, you can stick in a memory stick and Vista can use it as RAM.

Can I stick in an old 2 GB or 4 GB IDE hard drive and get Vista to use that as RAM?

You can indeed use a memory stick as RAM, it's called Windows Readyboost.
But (correct me if i'm wrong) I think it only applies to removable media and not IDE Hard Disk Drives.
