Graphics card for Vista Premium

  harry12 08:54 08 Mar 2007

Sad to say but my graphics card will not give me all the features of Vista. So an upgrade is required and this is the problem. I do not play games and only want a card which will allow Vista to perform fully. There are so many cards on the market I am lost, please advise.

What is your system spec. and motherboard make and model? Do you have a PCIE (PCI Express) Slot?

Sorry should have said PCIe x16 slot. Asrock ConRoe945-DVI motherboard,PentiumD 915 processor, 1gb memory.

In order to get full DX10 compatibility, you will need one of the new PCIE cards...brace yourself, these are not cheap at the moment, but check out this site: click here and look for Nvidia's 800gts, or if you feel rich 800gtx range of cards.

as an afterthought, I am waiting until the prices drop as ATI are releasing a new card this month.

That should be 8800gts and 8800gtx...typo's
