Some of my folders inside a program are opening maximised with just the red cancel cross in top right corner,no minimise or normal icon just the red cross

It's not every program just some,I have uninstalled and reinstalled the programs but still when opening files it opens maximized with just the red shutdown cross

Anyone point me in the right direction to solving this

Open one of these Windows and try hitting F11, or possibly F12.

This is all I could find: Microsoft.com

The Menu bar or the Minimize, Restore, and Close buttons are missing in Excel and in Word

It's difficult to explain but I'll try,it's not the main folder, for example I open "my music" folder that's ok it's the folders within,I have Artists in separate folders it's these that open full screen with just the red quit cross available,

In a way Excels the same it's in a folder called Apps and within a folder called expenses thus it opens full screen,I can get round that, shortcut to desktop, works ok but not with the other stuff

Mart, if you right click the very top of the folder window do you get the menu with all those options you're missing?
