Windows 10 Pro v.1803
Firefox 61.0.1
When Firefox opens, the Bookmarks Toolbar shows breifly then disappears. How can I get it to display correctly?
I have tried "customise>show bookmarks toolbar" but this has no effect.
I have searched for a solution but have not found one that works.
Any advice will be gratefully received.
Thanks very much,
Tony
Has the problem just started to happen? If so then something has changed to cause it so have you changed anything or installed Win10 updates? Sometimes Windows updates cause problems due to sudden incompatibility with installed programs. Clutching at straws here but have you looked at "View", "Toolbars" and then "Bookmarks Toolbar" to see that it is ticked? Maybe try uninstalling and reinstalling FF?
Thanks for your reply.
I have been using Windows 10 for many months, this has only happened in the last week. All windows updates have been fine with Firefox, and this did not happen after a Firefox update.
I have tried "View", "Toolbars" and then "Bookmarks Toolbar" to see that it is ticked, which it is, and it makes no difference. I have reinstalled Firefox and the problem persists.
Any more suggestions folks?
Cheers
Tony
Reinstalling Firefox does not delete everything. There are many entries left in the registry and the Profile folder.
Try uninstalling using free IOBit Uninstaller or similar. Include all the bits left over when prompted to do so. Then try a new install.
OP - Did you sort this? If so then how? Your feedback may help others who have the same issue.
