Hi. Im doing this for my friend so he can save a bit of money. He has a custom built computer and out windows 10 on it, but it came with no drivers, but every time we try and install drivers for specific parts like the ethernet driver nothing works. Seeing as it is custom built how are you meant to find out which drivers to download? I cant seem to get the ethernet working at all no matter what drivers i install for it. Has anyone got any advice on what to do? All the cables are connected properly so not so sure what the issue is.

Switch the Router off for 20 seconds then turn it on.If connected by ethernet it should find the ISP settings. If not try rebooting the computer.

The motherboard should have a cd supplied with it and all the necessary drivers will be on it. Install at least the Ethernet driver and once connected, use Windows updates to find and install the rest of the drivers that are needed.

Do USb ports work?

if so download speccy to usb and plug in and install on his machine.

this will find and itemise all the equipment fitted then you know which drivers to download
